We discovered after about 45 minutes that viking costumes are really warm, and, having already gotten a family picture, the costume pieces gradually ended up on the stroller.
Jesh helped Yancy with the donut eating contest.
Because of the chaos, we didn't realized until after that Darcy wanted to compete too!
Here are my boys, taking a break.
The day of Halloween I got to go to Darcy's school for a costume parade. (Total chaos.) She was done with the Astrid costume so she wore Jesh's Paw Patrol costume from last year. We found a Paw Patrol pumpkin during our walk to school that matched Darcy's costume.
This is just after picking up Jeshua, on our way to trick or treat. (With just one detour: We stopped at the urgent care clinic for a check up. Jesh's wound is still infected but looking much better, and the doctor felt confident taking all the stitches out. Thanks for the prayers!)
And here we are after. I didn't take any pictures during the trick or treating; it was just too complicated keeping track of my kids among all the kids and making sure the big kids didn't run them over. (The big kids here are so rude.) The kids were thrilled when they got bags of chips and goldfish crackers at the last house we visited.
Happy Halloween!

Awesome family portrait! Love the costumes. One of my favorite movies!
ReplyDeleteDarcy is a natural when it comes to eating:)
I love the family themes you do each year...so fun. Looks like everyone had a fun time with Halloween this year, and I am happy to see Jesh is doing much better and had those stitches removed. Sending prayers that the infection ends quickly!
